Supply Agreement for 95 MW Bio-Fuel Supply to South Korea

January 24, 2017

(Kunia, HI) At the 2017 State of Hawaii Bioenergy Conference, Lamplighter Energy, Inc., and Hanbo Energy Korea, have finalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) agreement regarding the joint development, operation and fueling of biomass power plants in The Republic of Korea. The export of biofuels to Korea will not only add high paying jobs to Hawaii but will also facilitate the transition of unused agriculture land toward our long term goal of sustainable domestic food production.

This operation, created and led in efforts by Jae Yeoul Shim, Executive Director of Hanbo Energy Korea and R. André De Rosa, CEO of Lamplighter Energy, Inc., is focused on increasing the megawatt capacity with financing and biofuel supply from Hawaii to Korea.

The biofuel economy, being one of the keystones of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, is paramount for developing a sustainable economy over the coming years. This agreement solidifies a step toward the continued positive growth in the developing relations between Korea and Hawaii, helping to build a long-term commitment between the countries for the future benefit of biofuels and renewable energy.

Lamplighter Energy, Inc. CEO, De Rosa stated, “We feel that this is a step in the right direction for the State of Hawaii to lead the move away from fossil fuels. Although biofuels have arguably retained a carbon component, the technology will support a transitional step from fossil power to an all-renewable economy. Our focus has been and will remain: Cleaner Air. Cleaner Water. More & Better Jobs.”
